Amazon professional seller, GNN (GraphicNovelNiche) has been selling graphic novels and comic books to fans for less than a year. During that time, they have managed to build a modest list of satisfied customers from among the countless graphic novel fans online.

The owners at GNN recently announced plans to add to the existing graphic novel titles currently on their shelves. According to them, new titles will start arriving as early as April 1, 2014. To help encourage additional store exposure and book sales, hundreds of graphic novel titles went on sale this past week. The sale will end on March 15^th 20014. The small family-run business has an inventory of thousands of popular graphic novels. The Amazon professional storefront platform enables them to list new, "like new", and slightly used books for sale. GNN stated that they “hope to move much of the existing inventory, so they can make room for even more popular titles.”

Graphic Novel Niche advertises not only popular titles, but rare and hard to find titles, as well. GNN stated that their decision to increase their inventory and add more diverse titles was based on “…dedication to providing customer satisfaction. “We see what our customers like to read, and we try to keep giving it to them.”

Many of GNN's top selling titles and series are by industry leaders including: Anime, Darkhorse, DC, Manga, Marvel and Tokyopop. They also list Manga and graphic novel favorites such as: Battle Royal, Digimon, and Yu-Gu-Oh!

The GNN storefront caters to a variety of audiences. Graphic novel readers can find books for adults, young adults, kids, and teens at the GNN Amazon storefront. Some of the graphic novels and comic books are actually listed for mature readers, however, according to their advertising, they also have titles that are “Rated “E for Everyone”.

GNN stated that following the end of the current sale on March 15th, books will return to original pre-sale prices; but their customers can still find discounts and bargains at their Amazon storefront.

Be My Rails Publishing was recently founded for a group of children who have been written about at length, but sidelined when it comes to literature for them – the children with autism or ADHD. These children can soon enjoy their own books with a setup that has been fine-tuned by other children just like them.

First out from the publisher is an entire book series about two siblings – Adrian and Super-A. On the mission of making cookies and other quite ordinary adventures, Adrian and his super-heroine sister, Super-A, will take the young readers on a safe trip together with Raily the Train into different life skills learning tales – filled with things like eggs and stove buttons. And as the reader follows the siblings on their first mission to bake macaroons, there are also many opportunities for the child to interact with the story that can be adjusted to the child’s abilities.

Autistic and ADHD children make up a growing group – now filling up one or two seats in each classroom or placed in special education. They are a huge source of future potential that should not be left untapped. And yet, not much literature is tailored for their ways of being. Since the Adrian and Super-A books are supposed to provide guidance into how to act in different situations of a child’s life, the author and publisher, Jessica Jensen, has called for help among the children themselves. More than twenty young editors between the ages of three and twelve have reviewed the first book. This includes children attending a pre-school and a school for autistic children. And since the books are best read with fingers, these children have pointed or joined Thummie the Thumb as he shows them what is right and what is wrong in the simplest way possible – thumbs up or down. Each editor has participated in making the book setup and illustrations work to their best.

Be My Rails Publishing was founded by Jessica Jensen and aims at producing children’s books that will help develop the child with autism or ADHD without compromising on a good childhood read. In that spirit, the books about Adrian and Super-A use a combination of established tools (such as Social Stories) with a number of psychologically creative characters. One of the characters that the young reader will meet is Little Miss Trigger. Although she was a last minute addition, she quickly made the favorite of the author’s own daughter. Little Miss Trigger may be a bit of a trouble-maker, but she actually represents the difficulties that the surroundings can cause a child with Autism or ADHD, such as sensory issues or visual triggers. These are aspects the author knows all too well. Jensen is the mother to a vibrant nine-year-old girl who only used to eat her veggies in the color of Homer Simpson’s skin and would have a morning meltdown every time a sock approached her feet. Jensen says the book series is written and illustrated with the purpose of helping children with an Autism Spectrum or Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder to see their life through a super-heroine that they can identify with. And with this book series, Jessica Jensen has been told she is really filling a need.

Jensen has also put the upcoming book to the test at home. “My autistic daughter always makes a thumbs up now, to check that she is doing things right. And when my son should wash his hands, he will quickly turn the sink into an aquarium or pot with soap-porridge. After reading Adrian and Super-A and the steps involved in actually washing your hands, it is much easier to get my three-year-old out of the bathroom.”

Jensen, who comes from a line of teachers and published authors, has a double university degree – Science with studies in Information Technology and Social Studies with a major in Psychology. Her family tree spans across five countries, allowing her to learn several languages, so letting Adrian and Super-A go global is a natural next step. After an English and Swedish version, German or Danish books are up for candidates, and the publisher has been approached by a Chinese agent as well. Be My Rails Publishing will produce workbooks to go alongside the stories, to practice the different life skills further at home or in an educational setting. The company may also publish books to promote autism and ADHD awareness among professionals such as teachers or physicians.

The name Be My Rails is the publisher’s appeal for everybody to be the rails to all of the train-kids; to enable the world for those with autism and ADHD. These kids need their rails, a clear destination and their own time table. And they are not like the car-kids around them, who will stop quickly or just follow in a new direction. The book writing process has just been optimised.

For years, the process of writing a book has been to spend a long time creating a detailed outline. Only when that was finished and organised would the writing start.

The book would be written from beginning to end.

Finally, the editing of the entire book would take place.

By trying to create the whole outline and organise it first creates certain problems. No matter how meticulous you are, there will always be something to add later. This means re-organising. Not only that, but you will need to insert this into the book you've already written.

By writing your book from beginning to end means that it is often difficult to add and remove sections later on. Writing a whole book this way is also a daunting task.

The editing and proof-reading step is one that author's usually hate. All those pages to go through. It doesn't have to be this way. In fact, it will often lead to more missed errors.

An author has now re-invented the process. It's a lot easier and better.

No need to finish your outline before you start writing.

The book should not be written from beginning to end. It's written in easy steps. This makes it so much easier later.

The editing process is made easier and almost all errors will be spotted.

My story starts when I adopted a puppy who was out of control. I knew that if I didn’t do something I would have to return him. I felt so ashamed and like a failure. But, in reality, I was overwhelmed and frustrated. When I say I’ve been in the shoes of my clients, it's because I have.

When I adopted Mattie, I thought I understood and knew dogs. I had trained Sydney, my current dog at the time, and figured I knew what I was doing. In fact, I thought I was a dog expert. Hindsight is 20/20 and, looking back at that now, I can see how naive my thinking was. Boy oh boy, did Mattie have a thing or two to teach me about me being an 'expert'!

Mattie was distant, fearful, unloving and independent. He wanted nothing to do with me and I had no clue how to reach him. It felt like I was living with an autistic child. After 6 months, I almost called it quits. I was frustrated, overwhelmed and in over my head.

When my 6 year old dog Sydney died suddenly, I was devastated. The dog I adored was gone and I was left with a dog I didn't like, forget about love. But I was also left with no excuses. Making things work with Mattie became a priority and I was on a mission.

When I started training Mattie, I was coming from a perspective of 'my dog should do what I want because I want him to'. Anyone else been there? Sydney did that; Ryder (my current puppy) would probably do that; Mattie, on the other hand, wasn't that type of dog.

Mattie did what he wanted to do, because he wanted to do it. If there were negative consequences, he thought about it after the fact or not at all. He was in the moment and very independent—yet very soft, temperament wise, I learned later.

The fact that he had no need for me, other than the meal I could feed him, (which he didn't like all that much) made training very difficult. At that time, I didn't understand or know about controlling resources and gave him whatever his heart desired. That was one of many mistakes I was making.
