About The Twin City Opera House:

The doors of the Opera House Theater opened to the public in 1892, in a town boasting nearly 30,000 people. Over the years, the Opera House has accommodated an endless variety of performers and celebrities. Fire and brimstone evangelist Reverend Billy Sunday, William Jennings Bryan, and Senator Albert Beveridge spoke here. High School commencements and local minstrel shows were staged here. But, most spectacular were the traveling shows. Often arriving by train, the traveling shows brought lavish productions to McConnelsville. Specially constructed doors at the rear of the stage allowed the loading and rigging of the enormous backdrops. Set pieces over twenty feet tall could be slid in through the narrow doors. The theater continues to screen recently released films, as it has done nearly every weekend since 1936, and open its doors to live shows like this. Sandusky, Ohio (January 8, 2020) – Get The Gig Promotions presents Travis Tritt at the Sandusky State Theatre on Saturday, April 23, 2020 at 7:00 p.m.

Nearly 30 years after Travis Tritt launched his music career, the Southern rock-influenced artist continues to sell-out shows and stay true and relevant to country music fans across the globe. Continuously performing shows and withholding a heavy appearance schedule, Tritt is proving to be unstoppable. The highly abbreviated Tritt timeline started when the young Marietta, Georgia native incorporated his lifelong influences of Southern rock, blues and gospel into his country during a honky-tonk apprenticeship that led him to Warner Bros. in 1989. Over the course of a decade, Travis released seven studio albums and a greatest hits package for the label. His 1990 debut Country Club and its succession of hits put him in the vanguard of the genre's early '90s boom, dubbing him as one of “The Class of ‘89,” which included country music superstars Garth Brooks, Clint Black and Alan Jackson; all whom dominated the charts in the early ‘90s. “Country Club,” “Help Me Hold On,” “I’m Gonna Be Somebody,” and “Drift Off to Dream” peaked at numbers two and three on the Hot Country Singles & Tracks charts; all which led for Tritt to win Top New Male Artist award from Billboard and the CMA Horizon Award (now known as the New Artist Award).

Additionally, in 1991, the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) marked Tritt’s debut album Country Club as certified platinum. Two years after his debut, Travis’ sophomore album, It’s All About to Change, was released. Literally speaking, this album changed everything when the album shipped three million copies and all four of its singles reached the top five on the country music charts. Along with his first album, this release became triple-platinum certified by the RIAA. At the same time, his conspicuous lack of a cowboy hat and musical assertiveness set him apart. The next series of albums, seven of which are certified platinum or higher, scored him more hit singles and led him to amass more than 30 million in career album sales, two Grammys, three CMA Awards and a devoted fan base that has filled venues coast-to-coast.

Ticket prices for adults are $48, $58, $79, $89, and $115. Tickets are available at GTG Promotions Box Office (937) 619-9586 or online at www.ohiomusic.com. Tickets are on sale now.

A new website, Deal Boy scours the Internet for deals on products for Canadian citizens.  Users of the site need only click on the available links to be taken to the website where the items are on sale.

Several pages of deals are available, but the quick and easy search function makes finding the best offerings even quicker and easier than before.

Site director Ali Ghaffar explained, "I designed this site because I grew weary of trying to find the best deals after Christmas for Boxing Day. I certainly did not want to fight crowds of people or spend time searching online more than necessary.  This is why I came up with Deal Boy."

Deal Boy does not require memberships, a login or any personal information. The site links users to other sites on the Internet that feature the deals.

"Deals change almost daily, so it is a wise idea to visit frequently.  There is no telling what will come up next or when.  Currently, there are some great flights out of Toronto for Florida in the U.S., the perfect location to beat the Toronto winters," said Ali.

January 4, 2020 -- Charlie is a 6 year old Yorkshire Terrier. He's such a lovely, loving boy who has sadly gone blind. Charlie developed  Pancreatitis which his previous Vet failed to diagnose. This has resulted in Diabetes which has left him totally blind now due to the development of Cataracts in both eyes. His little world has suddenly went dark. This has left him confused and depressed.

We have spoken to our Vets and there is eye specialists who could perform cataract surgery that would let this little boy see again and give him his fun loving life back. We can cope with the ongoing costs of his Diabetes treatment and medications, this involves insulin injections twice a day, special diet and ongoing vet fees. We are asking only for help with the cost of the Cataract Surgery that will give him his sight back so he can enjoy living his life to the full once again.

Charlie has been totally blind for a month now. The longer he remains blind and cut off from his surroundings the more depressed he is becoming. His condition can lead to glaucoma and his eyes may have to be removed completely. It's so important for him to have the surgery as soon as possible to get his recovery, and his zest for life, moving once again. Imagine how he will feel if the lights are suddenly turned back on.

We have had Charlie since he was 8 weeks old and he is a little super star. He means everything to us and it breaks our hearts to see our little boy going through everything he has to face every day. We have to do everything we possibly can to help this little soldier get his sight back and see him running around chasing his ball, and the squirrels on the park, just being Little Charlie again.

To say we would be grateful for your help would be such an understatement. Words could not even begin to explain how much this would mean to us to be able to give Charlie his sight back with your help. I am sure if Charlie could speak or write he would be the first to thank everyone.

Remember, donate only what you can, or share this news!!
