Sebina, tell us who is Caterina?
“It is 1924. Caterina is a rigid woman, she’s unique. A career woman, the daughter of Italian immigrants but now perfectly integrated into the social and cultural life of the Big Apple. Her life, quiet and orderly, is soon disrupted after meeting a boss of the New York mafia who sets fire to the city of at the end of the year.”
And, Who's the mystery man?
"The man Caterina falls in love with is Aldo Genna, an unscrupulous personality. He initially succeeds in deceiving Caterina herself, hiding behind the facade of the decent Made in Italy entrepreneur, honest and loyal. His managerial talent would finally find the worthy recognition in one of the most meritocratic societies in the world, the United States!"
So, tell us what happens when Catherine finds out the truth about the mafia boss?
"Catherine embarks on a journey to discover the backwoods and the rot behind the New York underworld clans of the 1990s. Without giving away the plot I will say that her entire story is a true historical epic, capable of giving us a raw and disarming retrospective of what were perhaps the most devastating years, from this point of view, for the United States in general and for the city of New York in particular. It is a visceral and bloody examination that only a great director like Vlad could have perfected, assisting it with an equally unique and engaging subplot. It reveals the story of a deep love affair capable of putting a powerful man, affiliated for years to the mafia clans of the city, in crisis".
"Yes, there is a beautiful and happy ending!"
How was it working with Vlad Feier?
"Vlad is very much like my Caterina, he is a rigid man and unique, just like her. This element has been a great advantage and a comforting artistic refuge for me, especially in light of the challenges that theatrical work faces in today’s virtual world. Working with real professionals like Vlad Feier gives you that rare opportunity to build a creative process that is free from any kind of subordination and directorial barriers. He gave me the rare opportunity to privately and personally explore all the emotional folds that such a complex and contradictory character, like Caterina's, is capable of containing within itself. And I have to admit, it's been a wonderful and puzzlingly intimate journey."

In an interview, Sebina talks to us about her impressions: "Working with Anthony has been stimulating and fun. It made me feel like I was back in the theater, like the pre-Covid times. Grippa is a creative person in all respects who loves to change course even when everything seems to have already been planned. Yes, even in the reproduction phase! Anthony is, in fact, able to abruptly change the setting of a scene and doesn’t shy from upsetting the scene itself. With him you always have to be ready for anything and as far as I’m concerned, the watchword is only one; relax!”

This is the challenge undertaken by Matteo Servente, in the dramaturgical construction of one of the most complex and detailed works about a theme that is still so controversial.
"Matteo accompanied me on a journey to discover those complex and unique inner selves, often caught up in mechanisms much larger than themselves; I must admit that it was a tiring, visceral, but wonderful and a deeply honest journey. It was a challenging artistic path, which allowed me to measure myself against intricate and painful female realities and worlds. And communicating that psychological struggle and raw ache through an online medium certainly did not facilitate the process ", this is how the young Sicilian performer commented on the work that saw her engaged alongside one of the most appreciated Made in Italy directors in the American theatre scene.

We asked Sebina to tell us a bit about the movie and its character: “Jack Zero is a big bet for me. The film recounts the adventures of Duncan Quinn, a nighttime superintendent with a complicated life. Duncan has a conflictual relationship with his daughter, a depressed alcoholic, a relationship that becomes more and more complicated when Duncan’s wife dies. My character is Asset Beta 203. Asset represents the mind and arm of the nocturnal Duncan; The woman is a hero just like Duncan. The two face numerous adversities together to achieve a single great goal, that is to make this world a peaceful place. I don’t want to give away too much about the movie, you shall find out more once you watch it!! What I can say is that I found a wonderful and attentive working group, highly professional and specialized. Right now, we’re in pre-production, so it’s a tour de force of testing and technical details. In this delicate phase of working in a new performance, having a solid and compact crew which is ready to help you at any time and for anything provides a big support for all of us. Maximilian Law is an Italian like me, this helped create a harmony and a creative sensibility with him. In short, I can’t wait to tell you more about this new adventure, but for the moment that’s it!”

We asked Sebina about her experience working as the protagonist for Bob Giraldi: “Working with Bob was one of the most important roles of my career. It was my first time playing the lead in an American TV commercial. My work with Bob has been meticulous and a great learning experience. The commercial is for the marketing of a life insurance company. Bob wanted to connect the audience with the company through an idea that was simple, straightforward, but at the same time had a great emotional impact and complexity that made it a tough undertaking. I found his creative solution absolutely ingenious and very appealing. The commercial is about all those things that money can’t buy, just like life.
We can only agree with Sebina and with the beautiful reflections she gave us! For more stay tuned!

On working with the prominent Leslie Small, Sebina had some great words to say: “To have been directed by an all-around artist like Leslie Small was a great privilege for me. Leslie is one of those sensitive souls, very attentive and scrupulous towards the most current and perilous topics of socio- anthropological nature; Leslie wanted the role to be played by a truly European or North African actress; his care and attention, turned to the construction of a creative process that was deeply real, sincere and honest towards this topic. It left me wonderfully moved and impressed. Working with Leslie was a journey of deep discovery, searching for the inner motivations, anxieties and hidden fears that often characterize people with these serious disorders. The work has been complex and challenging, but the results have been amazing and exciting to say the least. Filling the stage, for two entire weeks, in a prestigious theatre like RedCat Roy in Los Angeles, even if virtually, make me feel full of pride and joy.”
We couldn’t agree more with her. Steel Skin, along with being a spectacular exhibition of a sensitive topic shows the resilience of some of the most amazing artists during these testing times. Sebina shows exemplary versatility and really brings to life Leslie Small’s vision online.

Instagram has officially removed the number of “likes” showing on posts for users in the United States, but the biggest stars aren’t complaining.
The U.S. is among Instagram’s largest markets, with arguably, the globe’s largest egos. So why aren’t the platforms biggest “influencers” protesting? Mohr Publicity, a respected social media marketing firm in Los Angeles, says the change will save IG “celebrities” millions of dollars each year.
“People don’t realize nearly every big star in Hollywood pays companies like ours to promote each new post for thousands, or millions of likes,” said Mohr Publicity CEO Sandra Mohr. “Of course they have fans, but the competition to outdo one another with more and more likes and comments becomes enormously expensive.”
The first question most will likely ask when they open up their Instagram page to see it devoid of likes numbers, is: Why? What could Instagram be trying to accomplish? Turns out, the platform is implementing the unconventional and controversial change with hopes of making the world a better place.
“What we’re hoping to do is depressurize Instagram a little bit, and make it a bit less of a competition,” Instagram boss Adam Mosseri told Bloomberg. “The idea is to try and reduce anxiety and social comparisons, specifically with an eye towards young people.”
The biggest resistance to this change has come from mid-sized or start up companies trying to build up their reputation using positive visuals such as purchased likes and comments. Active social media pages give consumers confidence and help build a company’s online brand. But established stars such as Kevin Hart, Selena Gomez, and Kim Kardashian will more likely support the change.
“It would be really beneficial, and that makes me happy,” said Kim Kardashian, speaking at a DealBook conference in New York. Kardashian currently has more than 150 million Instagram followers and regularly receives more than 1 million likes on each new photo she posts.
For top rated social media companies like Mohr Publicity, the new face of Instagram will take a big chunk out of the business they do. The constant stream of income from musicians, actors, authors and businesses buying likes regularly, will dry up quickly.
“We know that the social landscape is constantly shifting,” said Mohr, “but we stand ready for the next big thing. We also support the effort to make Instagram less competitive and more organic. A lot of kids will feel a lot less social pressure when they see this change, and that is a move in the right direction.”
