Ackerman Realty International announced that it has 17.5 acres of primary forest available near Corcovado National Park, Costa Rica, which would allow potential investors or baby boomers to get into the real estate boom currently in progress on the Osa Peninsula.
According to the Costa Rica Times, real estate availability is limited on the Osa Peninsula because the Corcovado National Park covers over 263 miles of territory. This translates into the fact that 75 percent of the peninsula is protected and only 25 percent is available for development.
The 17.5 acres are located 45 minutes outside of Puerto Jiménez on the road to the national park and minutes from the beach at Carate. This section of the country has specialized in eco-living and eco-tourism. The lot is intended for people that wish to develop eco-friendly properties off the grid.
Carate has a number of eco-lodges and nature resorts for tourists visiting the national park and surrounding areas. It has a small airstrip where charter flights are available to and from San Jose. Puerto Jiménez is accessed with decent roads, has the most commonly used airstrip of the area, and a ferry that crosses the Golfito Dulce. It has shopping, restaurants, and other amenities available.
This is a bio-diverse region containing pristine rainforest and coastline.
