CozyFloor.com Introduces Radiant Floor Heating Mats

A new product introduced by CozyFloor.com combines the need for less-expensive, hypo-allergenic heating with the secret desire of everyman to step out of bed and land on a nice, warm floor. The new Cozy Floors warming mats, which utilize electro-magnetic energy to generate a natural, even heat throughout the home, are the latest in what has been a progression of ideas for under-floor heating, dating all the way back to the Greco-Roman public baths, which used steam to heat the walls of the baths.

A gathering body of medical evidence seems to imply that radiant floor heating, whether it's hot water pipes or electro-magnetically induced heat, is far better for allergies than traditional heating methods. A standard furnace with its hot air ducts, filters, and blowing hot air, can be an anathema to anyone allergic to dust and mites. The difference between CozyFloor's warming mats and other radiant floor heating methods is the ease of installation and use for the mats.

Radiant floor heating has been around for years, but usually involving a complicated system of pipes to warm the house or business. The radiant floor heating mats were born out of a frustration with current methods by CozyFloor executives all former contractors themselves. "We just looked around at all the ways that were being used to heat these buildings, and said to ourselves, there's got to be a better way!" commented an executive of CozyFloor. "By making the mats self-contained units, we made it easy for anyone who wants to put in radiant floor mats to do it themselves if they want to."

Not only are the heated floor warming mats preferable for those with allergies, but they're also more efficient than a blown-air furnace. Much of the energy spent on heating the air is lost in transit when the warm air has to be conducted to the room that needs heating. Additionally, thermal dynamics dictates that warm air rises, which means that still more air needs to be pumped into the room until the median temperature reaches the desired goal. With underfloor heating, however, the heat rises directly from the floor, and every watt of energy used for heating works towards heating the room itself.

The mats can be ordered in preset sizes of anywhere from 10 to 100 square feet, or even as flexible cable for those odd-shaped spaces. For ordering information or to find out more about Cozy Floor products, visit the website at www.cozyfloor.com.
