California, US — / PRBlast / — SHREVEPORT - Former NBA player, actor and minister Kenyon Glover is the subject of a permanent injunction, following a court hearing in Louisiana.

The ruling makes permanent the earlier temporary restraining order and preliminary injunction granted by Judge Michael “Mike” Pitman against Glover in Caddo Parish.

In granting the initial sexual assault restraining order, the judge prohibited Glover from committing further acts of abuse or threats of abuse or sexual assault.

Glover has been charged with a violence offense centered around abuse and physical force.

In his ruling, the judge’s order prohibits Glover from abusing or assaulting the victim. The legal action came after Glover was the subject of abuse and sexual assault allegations in Caddo Parish.

The judge’s decision also bars Glover from stalking, following, tracking, monitoring, or threatening the victim. Glover is to stay completely away from the woman and her home, school and business.

“The verdict was based on the evidence presented to the court,” a spokesperson for the Louisiana Bar Foundation said to the media following the hearing.

According to the permanent order, the judge found that Glover was a threat to the victim.

Glover, who is currently under a permanent restraining order in California for violence, failed to appear for the court hearing. The California court ruled that Glover assaulted the woman to whom he was a spiritual advisor.

Court records state Glover previously allegedly assaulted another woman and was charged.

The victim’s lawyer Holland Miciotto, son of powerhouse Shreveport lawyer Ronald Miciotto, told the judge, “it shows Mr. Glover has a prior history of violence,” according to court records.

According to IMDb.com, Glover is a native of Monroe, Louisiana. Glover counts acting and filmmaking as a part of his repertoire. The authoritative source for TV content says Glover was a cast member on RuPaul’s Drag Race, The Young and The Restless, Devious Maids, among others.

Amid the latest controversy, Glover was removed from the film ‘E40S’ (Every 40 Seconds), back in late October according to Film Daily.

Glover was previously represented by American Talent Management in Burbank, California, and had been a talent with All American Entertainment. TheCineTalk reported that AAE recently removed Glover from their roster.

A Louisiana Judge granted a temporary restraining order against Kenyon Glover, blocking him from stalking, following, tracking, monitoring, or threatening a woman who has made sexual abuse claims against him.

Glover has been accused of sexual assault and harassment in Caddo Parish.

The Louisiana Uniform Abuse Prevention Order is pursuant to L.R.S. 46:2181 et seq., non-intimate sexual assault, stating the protected person is related to the defendant as an acquaintance.

The court ordered Glover be restrained from committing further acts of abuse or threats of abuse, stalking or sexual assault.  The judge ordered Glover not to abuse, harass or assault the victim in any manner whatsoever.

The prohibition includes the use, attempted use, or threatened use of physical force that would reasonably be expected to cause bodily injury.

The full order requires Glover to stay completely away from the woman and her home, job or school.

According to IMDb.com, Glover, 45, is a native of Monroe, Louisiana.  A former NBA player, minister and founder of Faithful & Focused Ministries, Glover also counts acting and filmmaking as a part of his repertoire. The authoritative source for TV content says Glover was a cast member on "The Young and The Restless," and has been featured on "Devious Maids." Most recently, he was an actor in "Lady Wisdom," executive produced by Preach The Word Network TV (PTWWN Broadcasting), an Atlanta, Georgia based Christian Television Network.

Court records state that Glover resides in Dallas, Texas.

As the U.S. continues to be torn about its immigration policies on one hand, the American Dream of working in Hollywood lives on as the ultimate stop for actors around the globe. Chilean actress Lisette Lastra, now living in Los Angeles, has just completed shooting her first film Celine.

Los Angeles, CA, Dec 9th, 2015 -- Chilean actress Lisette Lastra dreamed of being a professional film actor since she was a small child and is now fulfilling that dream as an up-and-comer in Hollywood. She has just finished shooting her first film in Los Angeles titled Celine. This film is about a man who kills his girlfriend, but in his mind believes she's still alive. Lisette plays the girlfriend. The film, currently in post-production, is scheduled to be completed in January of 2016.

When asked about her favorite or most interesting aspect of the film, she softly shares, "There’s a key scene in it where I have to be dancing as if someone took over my soul. It’s very abstract, and Jerry [Director Jerry Hoffman] let me play a lot with it. He gave me freedom to do what I wanted. The location was great, too. We shot at a private beach in Orange County."  Of course, hanging out on a private beach in sunny California is another popular dream which Lisette is getting to live out.

Prior to moving to Los Angeles, Lisette spent a year studying and working in New York City. She then packed her bags and headed to Los Angeles to set out in earnest to become a Hollywood actor, starting by fulfilling another of her lifelong ambitions -- to study at the internationally-renowned school The Lee Strasberg Theatre & Film Institute in West Hollywood.  Joining the ranks of many other top industry talents, Lisette completed the signature two-year training program at Strasberg which focuses on a method acting technique that has guided countless famed actors over the years.

In Lisette's home country of Chile, she appeared in several Chilean films which received positive reviews and for which her work was always praised. Her sculptured porcelain facial features betray the type of role she is most often cast in – the girlfriend.

The film In the Comfort in the Distance features Lisette as a girlfriend of the movie’s lead character – really, an ex-girlfriend in this case. And in The Magnetic Tree, Lisette also plays a girlfriend. Not to mention again, the 2016 film Celine, as the dancing girlfriend.

Personally, Lisette Lastra is a down-to-earth, loving, kind, quiet person with a deep and rich inner life that comes through in her work. For more information about Lisette Lastra, contact Smart Girls PR at 818/907-6511.

Bollywood Actor Shravan Jasti gave up following the family business to pursue his dream of becoming a film actor. He is studying around the world, including at the famed Strasberg Institute in Hollywood, California. His latest film project “Okka Ammayi Kathah” is being shot in India under the banner of Cineteria Productions and directed by Arun Kumar. It will be finished in 2016 and is scheduled for release during Diwali, the Hindu Festival of Lights.

Los Angeles, CA, Dec 9th, 2015 -- Shravan Jasti is a young actor from Hyderabad, India, who chose to follow his dream of becoming an actor instead of taking his expected place in the family business. His most recent film project is a role in a romantic comedy being filmed in India under the banner of Cineteria Productions, “Okka Ammayi Kathah,” directed by Arun Kumar. It will be finished in 2016 and scheduled for release during Diwali, the Hindu Festival of Lights. The movie is being shot in Ramoji Film City, certified by Guinness World Records as the largest film production studio in the world, spread across 2000 acres.

The actor often travels for his acting, both to study at renowned acting schools and to work professionally. He recently lived in Los Angeles for a period of time while studying at the famed Lee Strasberg Theatre and Film Institute.

Jasti's earlier acting work was done in India's Tollywood, a sibling to the Bollywood industry.Tollywood, one of the three largest film producers in India, dates back to 1921 and is the Teluga language cinema of Telangana and Andhra Pradesh. Bollywood is the name for the Hindi language film industry based in Mumbai, formerly known as Bombay.

As India's long film history becomes more well-known, their influence grows as well. In an interview with the young actor, Jasti states thathis decision to study at Hollywood's Lee Strasberg Institute was influenced greatly by an actor friend with whom he had studied in India. Many well-known Indian actors have trained there, and both sides of the world have a growing influence on each other.

In considering the differences he has observed in Bollywood acting styles compared to Hollywood, Shravan said Indian movies are very sentimental with a lot of emotional depth. He notes that actors in India are expected to dance, do their own stunts, and sometimes sing. In Hollywood stunt men and stand-ins are often used where appropriate, although he has noticed recently that more Hollywood actors are doing their own stunts. Jasti is currently taking a dancing class to help him in future film assignments, as he believes it is important to always expand your skills for acting roles.

As his career continues to be more and more demanding, Jasti admits that one of the greatest challenges he faces is being able to handle the constant pressure of remaining composed and attentive on a chaotic set -- specifically in maintaining what he believes matters most, inner peace.

“Having a way to get centered and peaceful is so important to a career, no matter what level, in the beginning as well as when you are famous. I meditate in the morning and start off my day with gratitude and affirmation. That gives me so much peace, love and happiness. If you are not content with what you have, you are not going to receive more."

Jasti believes his dedicated devotion to meditation is key to his ability to achieve the key to good acting, preparation. Having a strong imagination and living in the moment will pay off, but everything works out better if the research and homework are right. Shravan recalls one example of preparation early in his career which, in retrospect, seems rather extreme. He played an impoverished friend of a war veteran and “starved myself for a few days while the summer heat in India drained the life out of me”.

When fans and industry professionals mention Jasti’s work, they often mention his inclination toward comedy. In fact, one of his credits is “Transcendental Meditation Comedy." He is quick to point out, however, that his basic goal is to offer versatility and to maximize his cultural eccentricity. He believes, "Acting is a powerful way to influence culture with the potential to change the world for the better."

It seems this handsome young Indian actor brings not only the comedy that he is known as an actor, but the depth and soul that one might wish for from an actor aspiring out to change the world for the better.
